The Warden & the Paunch is a new set of lords for Total War: WARHAMMER II. It adds two legendary rival lords and their factions from the world of Warhammer Fantasy Battles to the game, which can be used both in the Center of the Vortex and Mortal Empires campaigns, as well as in individual battles. Each of them has its own tasks, game mechanics, units and play style.
Eltharion Grimface commands the Ivresse warriors (high elves), and Grom Puzan leads the Broken Ax tribe (greenskins). Yvresse and Broken Axes do not race for the Whirlwind. Fate destined them to become eternal sworn enemies. They are doomed over time to converge in a decisive battle in which there will be only one winner.
Many years ago, Eltharion became the Guardian of Tor Ivresse and since then tirelessly looks for signs of preparations for an attack by the greenskins. In the distant past, he sailed across the seas and fought against the Druchii of Naggarond. In his absence, Tor Yvresse nearly fell to the green tide as the legendary Waaagh of Grom Puzan swept across Ulthuan. Having defeated Grom and dispersed his hordes, Eltharion swore that no more vile orc or goblin would set foot on the land of his homeland.
But Grom doesn´t think so. His vast belly rumbles with the desire to get even with the enemy, and the craving for revenge can only be compared with the colossal gluttony of the leader. One day, the goblins gathered around a gurgling cauldron. Fishing and eating more and more tastier pieces, Thunder began to think about his plans. He decided that he would gather everyone, from leaders to ordinary guys, bring them to a feverish frenzy, and then declare a Waaagh, which the world has not seen equal. This time, Tor Yvresse will fall, and his proud Guardian will kneel before the mighty Puzan!
