Los Suenos - STATE OF EMERGENCY: Los Suenos Police Department Chief Galo Alvarez goes on air with an urgent message about the state of the city after Hurricane Antonio. Hurricane Antonio, a Category 5 hurricane, has caused widespread destruction and environmental damage. High winds and heavy rains have affected much of the county. Patrol units have been put on alert and checkpoints have been set up. Fire and rescue triage centers have been set up at major hospitals where possible. Temporary homeless shelters have been set up outside of the affected areas and on the slopes of the Sierra del Suenos. Looting has increased, and LSPD SWAT has been called in as part of the disaster response.
The current events on the offshore platform come shortly after the failed assassination attempt on newly elected Governor Whitfield. The Los Suenos Police Department continues to work closely with the Highway Patrol, Security, and federal authorities to ensure the Governor´s safety following the assassination that occurred at an LSPD event a month ago.
